Our Desire For Answers Keeps Us Close to Our Heavenly Father

Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

-Matthew 7:7-8

We need to be reminded every day that our walk with Christ is about a personal relationship. I am convinced He puts question after question and pondering after pondering in our hearts so that we will seek Him for the answers. He wants us to keep asking, keep searching, and keep knocking. And He promises the answers will come. They have in my own life, and I know He does the same for all His precious children.

It is a blessing and a gift to want to know more about God. Why does He do things the way He does? Keep asking Him! There is no question that surprises or offends Him–He’s seen them all already. He created each of us in His own image, after all. He knows we want to know and to understand the deep things of life and of Him. And His Word will supply all the answers, every single one of them. He’s left nothing out. It may take time and more time to find the truth, but that’s exactly what He wants–a relationship with Him. He wants us to spend time seeking Him daily for these things. We speak to Him through prayer and He answers through the Holy Spirit and His Word.

God truly is a wonderful, loving Father to His children. As a child of God, keep seeking time with your heavenly Father. Every time you have a question, go to Him, and keep asking until He reveals the truth to you in a way you can understand. He will satisfy your desire for more knowledge and wisdom. He will answer you. It will be in His time and in His way, but He will answer.
