He Grants Us Everything

He did not even spare His own Son
but offered Him up for us all;
how will He not also with Him grant us everything?

-Romans 8:32

Have you ever heard this thought: “God is holding out on you. You are not worthy of His best. That’s for someone else.” It is a common deception Satan uses. He likes to entice us to settle for the good instead of trusting God for His best. He can get us to do that if we somehow believe we are not worthy of God’s best. Beloved, nothing could be further from the truth.

It began in the Garden of Eden. The sneaky serpent initiated the thought in Eve’s mind that God was holding out on her by not allowing her and Adam to eat from the tree in the middle of the garden. He made her believe she was missing out. And she took the bait. She disobeyed God, ate from the tree, and along with Adam, separated mankind from God. Satan won that day. He probably laughed to himself the entire time.

Often times, the enemy of the best is not the worst–it is the good. We rush to take hold of the good when God has all the best for us. We allow fear to take over. We believe either we are not worthy, or we believe maybe God overlooked us. We believe we’ve got to grab onto it ourselves because, after all, who else is really looking out for us?

God is looking out for us. He has all the best in mind for us. Look at Romans 8:32. “He didn’t even spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all. How will He not also with Him grant us everything?” If God is that generous in pouring out His own blood, sacrificing Himself for us, do we not think He will pour out His best upon us as well?

We can trust God that He will give us His best. But we must follow Him there. Sometimes the road does not make sense. That’s where our faith comes in.

Keep walking down the road He’s set for your life, and you will see. He has all the best in mind for you and for me.
