praying

For the Lord loves justice
and will not abandon His faithful ones.

Psalm 37:28

It can be difficult to keep doing the right thing and not see much come from it. Maybe you’ve continued to be kind to a boss who takes you for granted. Maybe you’ve continued to reach out to a struggling neighbor who keeps rejecting your offer for help. Maybe you’ve continued to love and support a lost family member who takes no notice of your grace. You may feel discouraged that your outreach seems to be doing little to help someone in need. But don’t give up. Even if it seems like the person doesn’t notice, God notices.

God loves you. He sees your sacrifice for the sake of another. He hears your prayers for those He has placed a burden in your heart for. And He is for you. Remember God’s will is that “all people be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:4 NIV). When you continue to reach out to those in need, sharing the love of Christ to their hurting hearts, God sees. He sees when they reject your love and kindness. He sees you not giving up on them. And He is so pleased with your faithfulness.

Don’t give up. God sees you, even when no one else does. Keep following Him. Keep praying for those who need Him too. God will never abandon your efforts to reach out to a lost and hurting world in the name of Jesus.
