Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

On any given day, we never know what God is going to do. This is not meant to be frightening, but freeing. If we truly believe God is good, we can trust how He intervenes and sovereignty works in the world. Every morning we can wake up, releasing our desires for the day, and submit to His plans for us. There will be many times we don’t understand what He is doing, or maybe question whether He’s really in control. That is Satan’s guise. God never changes. He is always in control. And whatever happens, we can trust God was intimately involved in the entire work.

We need to determine in our own minds, each and every day, to walk by faith and not by sight. We need to immerse ourselves in the perfect Word of God, allowing it to guide us instead of what we see happening around us. Remember God is always in the business of making the glory of His Son Jesus shine in the world. We can have peace knowing His goodness reigns and His presence will never leave His children. It really isn’t about what we get out of it, but about Jesus’ nearness to us. He is our very great reward.
