Children of the King

Look at how great a love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children. And we are!

1 John 3:1

Once we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are adopted into the family of God. As children of the King, we receive all the rights and privileges that heaven bestows. All grace, hope, endurance, and strength to continue forward in Him are lavished upon us. That means we have everything we need to help us live. Everything. Not one item is left out. Our Perfect Father in heaven takes the best care of His children.

Satan likes to tell us otherwise. I fell victim to it recently. His lies about God holding back on me because I’m not good enough grew louder and louder in my head while the truth was drowned out. I began to despair of hope. I shouldn’t have. God reminded me I am a child of God. I am a daughter of the King. No matter what circumstances change in my life, God’s promises in Christ never change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

When Satan begins to spin his ugly web of lies, meditate on these powerful verses. Then walk in the truth of who you are–a child of the Almighty King of Kings!

I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.
